30.11.2016 Digital Photography workshop at St Marys high school
Year 11 GCSE and Year 12 photography pupils from St Marys Catholic High School, in Astley near Manchester, had an interesting digital workshop delivered by David. Using a theme of 'visual narratives' they explored the use of resource images and photographs to combine them in a digital montage to illustrate a 'story'. The results achieved in a short morning workshop were very impressive.

At 11.00am the children gave a performance on their new stage area to thank Art4design, Gavin Ledder from Travis Perkins, Lucy Wilson from Bell Group UK, and Chris Hunt and his team from Klassik Builders. They sang a fantastic 'thankyou' song and presented everyone with special handmade thankyou cards. This was followed by yummy cakes, juice and a great playtime in their colourful, fun playground.

24.03.2016 Artworks for Early Years playground
On seeing the dull and unexciting surroundings of the early years playground we volunteered our time and creative input to inject some colour and improvements to engage the children and directly link to their learning. The well received "robot wall", features three robots made of recycled computer parts. Every child has been using their imagination to create games and role play while interacting with the robot artwork.
